When these clients contacted us, their yard featured a grassy space, a spa and an alfresco deck. The spaces between the deck and the spa were not connected, so this was their primary goal. However, they also were focused on enlarging their entertainment space while connecting the deck and spa areas. The clients planned to use this connecting space for a fire pit and additional seating for guests.
To create a beautiful space that was ideal for the clients’ needs, we installed a concrete slab. This slab may have resulted in a potential flooding issue when it rains, so we created a built-in drainage system. The drain lines were installed in the grout lines for optimal aesthetics. Rather than dealing with flooding or an unsightly drainage grate, the invisible drainage system allowed us to create a sophisticated finish. Now, the clients have a larger entertainment space that is ideal for entertaining. The fire pit is placed centrally so that its glowing flame can be enjoyed from the space and the deck.
